I also told the model to maintain your actual experiences while changing the phrasing to highlight relevance, and I defined the target fields—healthcare and aerospace. The AI created versions specific to each domain by explicitly identifying the intended audience, resume style, and the elements to improve (skills, responsibilities, career objective). The AI-generated versions of my CV include more industry-specific jargon and have a rearranged structure to better meet company requirements. The version of healthcare emphasizes patient-centeredness, safety, empathy, and communication. The AI emphasizes physical fitness, discipline, mission readiness, and critical thinking in the aerospace industry.Through this process, I realized how powerful specific prompts are when designing material. The way the same experiences are presented can be drastically changed by making small changes, including defining the target role, the desired tone, or the important competencies. Transforming personal history into career-aligned tales that speak the language of the industry is made easier with effective prompt engineering.
